Abstract

Self-crossing, cusp, collapse, failure. Dimension dropping, and also too much space. Unexpectedness, almost nowhere. Nearly invisible error becomes incrementally overwhelming. Things mismatch that ought to align. Flags are raised. In this talk, I want to explore singularity in the context of solidification of algebraic surfaces and queer identity.
