Hello! My name is Lucas Broux, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Felix Otto, which I joined in November 2022. Prior to that, I was a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Lorenzo Zambotti and Prof. Cyril Labbé at Sorbonne Université in Paris.
In my research, I have been mainly interested in the theories of rough paths and regularity structures, in particular in their applications to the renormalisation of singular stochastic partial differential equations. These are equations which involve badly-behaved random forcing terms and appear in many areas of mathematics and physics from fluid dynamics to quantum field theory.
In my free time, I enjoy a number of activities such as bouldering, running in one of the many nice parks of Leipzig, and spending time with my friends!
