Antonio Bellon

May 31, 2022

My name is Antonio Bellon. I am a PhD student at the Czech Technical University in Prague under the supervision of Jakub Mareček and Vyacheslav Kungurtsev and I am part of the Optimization group of the Artificial Intelligence Center hosted at Department of Computer Science of CTU. I am jointly supervised by professor Didier Henrion at the Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems of the french CNRS in Toulouse. I received my Master degree in Mathematics from Università degli Studi di Padova.

My current studies focus on Time-Varying Semidefinite Programming, a class of dynamic convex optimization problems, which I am exploring under the three lenses of Theory, Algorithms, and Applications. I am broadly interested in continuous, convex, and polynomial optimization. At MPI MIS I am collaborating with the group of Tensors and Optimization, while trying to spice up my studies with some nonlinear algebra.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy swimming, playing chess or writing stories and rhymes. I love to play and sing old romantic songs at the keys.
