Lisa Nicklasson defended her PhD thesis on minimal Hilbert series problems of graded algebras in April 2020 at Stockholm university. In September 2020 she will start a one-year post-doc at the MPI MiS.
Her research area is commutative algebra. More specifically she studies Lefschetz properties and other problems about Hilbert series of graded algebras. She is also fond of any kind of problem relating to commutative algebra and combinatorics.
Outside mathematics Lisa enjoys reading, hiking and going to goth music festivals. While in Leipzig she looks forward to visiting the yearly festival Wave Gothic Treffen.
