Nonlinear Algebra People - 2020

Leo Margolis

August 31, 2020

Leo Margolis is a postdoctoral researcher at the Free University of Brussels and visits the MPI MiS to collaborate with Mima Stanojkovski from the Nonlinear Algebra group. He studied at the University of Stuttgart and was a PostDoc at the University of Murcia in Spain before moving to Brussels.

His research interests center around algebraic objects containing the word ''group'' in their name and often also ''ring'', though the latter is not compulsory. He enjoys obtaining theorems from studying concrete examples and this, over the years, led him ever deeper into the world of computer algebra.

He is always ready to enjoy dinner with friends or just to read a good book by himself in a park.
