Dmitrii Pavlov

My name is Dmitrii Pavlov and I am a PhD student at MPI MiS under the supervision of Bernd Sturmfels. I received my Master’s degree from Moscow State University, where I worked with Gleb Pogudin and Yury Razmyslov.

I am interested in differential algebra and its applications to control theory and, in a broader sense, in applied algebra in general. Here at MPI I hope to switch my focus to research in applied algebraic geometry. I also hope to expand my algebra knowledge and to collaborate with the wonderful people working here.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy traveling, swimming, ice skating, reading nice books and learning foreign languages.
