Commutator-Stable Representations
- Ulysse Remfort-Aurat (Aix-Marseille Université)
Abstract
In this talk, we will study representations of a hyperbolic group into the isometry group of a Gromov hyperbolic space. We will begin by recalling the definition of quasi-isometrically embedded representations, which naturally give rise to open domains of discontinuity. Next, we will explain Minsky's construction of primitive-stable representations, which led to strictly larger domains of discontinuity.
Finally, we will discuss the properties of the analogous commutator-stable representations.
