Classical solutions for a thin film equation
The spreading of thin liquid films is described by the thin-film equation. It is a degenerate parabolic equation of fourth order, describing a free boundary problem. Existence, but not uniqueness, for weak solutions have been proved. We show existence and uniqueness for classical solutions. The solution space is a weighted Sobolev space.
